Citizens of New York City, rejoice! Phil Jackson has finally been fired. After his last move of almost trading Kristaps Porzingis the Knicks organization has put its foot down. There have also been known conflicts between Jackson and his players, in particular, Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis.

A few hours after Jackson was fired today, the Knicks owner James Dolan has expressed interest and is currently targeting Toronto’s Masai Ujiri to replace Jackson as their President (via @WojVerticalNBA).

New York Knicks super-fan Spike Lee posted this celebratory photo with the caption “HALLELUJAH.” on Instagram immediately after Jackson was relieved of his duties.
